Painting Classes with Susan Eernisse Turner

Welcome to the San Michele Painting Class Blog! I'm Susan E Turner, the resident Buda artist!

Our series of painting classes will be starting the first Monday in February and running through March, taking place every Monday and Wednesday from 10AM to 2PM.

Classes will begin with a short art history of the featured artist of the day, then begin your painting, have a short break for lunch and then complete the work. There will only be 11 spots available, so I'll provide plenty of one-on-one instruction! With over 35 years of experience in art instruction, I feel confident you can do it!

We'll be painting inside and when the weather is nice, we'll paint de plein air among the lush gardens, pond and fountains of San Michele. I'm very excited about the location! It's a refreshing change from the classroom, a relaxed, fun and inspiring atmosphere.

We're also available for private parties where we will teach you how to paint your favorite painting by your favorite artist.

February we'll be featuring Matisse, Miro, Okeefe, Munch.
March will be filled with "Monet Mondays".

Classes are $87 and all inclusive. We will be providing all of the art supplies needed and lunch-- just come ready to paint! You'll take home a masterpiece.

I've been a professional artist for over 35 years, with pieces in collections world-wide. Of all art forms, I've been doing stained glass the longest. My pieces in museums are sculpture and I've been featured at Foto Fest in Houston, TX. Because of all of these interests, I've often been referred to as "that renaissance woman". :) At this time in my life, it is a pleasure to be able to partner with Virginia and Chuck, the owners of San Michele, to offer you these classes. You can also find me at the Art Institute of Austin Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information about my background, please feel free check out my resume (include link).

Please feel free to call if you have any questions. We look forward to having you in our class!
Susan
